Business Schools and Executive Development Institutes

Focused on contemporary leadership challenges and managerial practice, the RoundTables for Experienced Managers can serve as a stand-alone executive course or a credit-bearing module in an EMBA or similar advanced degree program.  

Choices for the Rising Generation will be a credit-bearing module for full-time students promoting a worldly awareness of our One Planet predicaments and strengthening the capacity to act wisely as citizens. 

Both depend on  collaboration amongst a few innovative people at institutions around the world, willing and able to bring ideas, facilitation and participants.

If you would like your business school or institute to join the RountTables Consortium or the Rising Generation Consortium, please get in touch as soon as possible.  to discuss options including accreditation, student assessment, program evaluation, student and faculty exchanges, etc.

Current Consortium Members include triple-accredited Stellenbosch Business School, Yokahama National University, IEDC-Bled School of Management, McGill University, Exeter Business School and others.

Key Features

  • Open only to currently practicing managers (so not suitable for full-time students, or people with little experience of managing). 

  • A consortium of business schools and some businesses particapte each year and take turns to host the program. We invite interest from others especially from underepresented areas.

  • Certificates of completion include the logos of all partner institutions.

Organisational structure for delivering the program:

Offered each year by an informal consortium of business schools and executive development institutes. Some companies and other organisations particapte directly, sending a group of their staff, often through links with one of the main partners.


Consortium business schools take turns to host it, providing physical and administrative facilities, arranging cultural events and – most importantly – field visits to local organisations. 


The program is organised by Pelumbra, a UK-registered company directed by Jonathan Gosling, co-founder of the program. 


A core faculty has staffed the program for many years, and others accompany participants from their Schools. We join in alongside the participants, working on our own ‘managerial challenges’ and offering conceptual insights from our own disciplines as appropriate. 


An optional ‘facilitator track’ serves as a formal faculty development program, consisting of

  1. Personal conversations about aims & aspirations a month before

  2. Participation in the program

  3. 2-day workshop immediately afterwards, to consolidate understanding of theoretical underpinnings of our approach and to assist with application to other settings.  


MoU and SLA documentation arranged as needed.

Financial Arrangements

We aim to keep these simple and transparent. 

The headline tuition fee in 2024 is €600

Participants coming as a group of 8 or more may pay a reduced fee; and some other reductions enable people from ‘social’ organisations to participate. 


If a partner institution wants to market the program as part of their executive education offering, we can arrange an appropriate revenue share.
